HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
You heard me say the other week that I wanted to use these two little birds on a nest to make a
Valentine's Day "card' for the old navy man.
He fed the birds every day and Cardinals were his favorite.
Whenever a male and female Cardinal appeared on the deck he always said:
"They mate for life, you know."
Well, we did too and I'm still here, so wanted to remember him this Valentine's Day
with a little decorated nest and that cute Cardinal couple.
(Mother of Pearl buttons because I had no bird seed.)
Old Navy Man
my one and only Valentine forever and ever.
I will never forget.
Stay safe and warm and have a Happy Heart
Bird Nest Cottage
So so lovely -
Hi Pat.....I somehow missed this post. It didn't come to my mailbox! I went and looked for your blog online as was wondering if you had posted! Happy Valentine's Day to you too...and I love that you made the nest with the cardinals for your Navy man. So so sweet. I had a very quiet Val Day but guess that's to be expected. Those buttons are so pretty too! Hope you are doing well and finding things to keep you busy and inspired. xoxox Marilyn
Hi Pat, I think your tribute to the old navy man is just wonderful. The buttons so nice. I saw a beautiful bright red cardinal out my kitchen window yesterday.
Hope you're doing well.
That is a beautiful post to your husband! Happy belated Valentines Day. Hugs
