I think I last showed this little quilt in 2008. It now lives at my youngest brother's house. It is 17 1/2 inches x 23 1/2 inches, hand appliqued, quilted and embroidered. And, you'll notice one of my favorite things there......a tree! Love making those! Also....there are French Knots, another favorite.
Do you see the city in the background? And, the little church....I've used that church to make several pieces, long gone to other homes. Maybe I'll do another one someday.
Those knots! And, there are little strips of fabric made into a border. Leftovers from a Log Cabin quilt.
A close-up of the church and tree. I seem to remember using one strand each of three greens to make the leaves.
Just beautiful!
I found this pin at a flea market years ago. Such tiny stitching! It was love at first sight!
And, once again, that pin! One of my favorite motifs in stitching is a basket like this one filled with flowers. I never tire of finding them!
(I'm not pushing my capabilities at this point.) Hoping you are well and enjoying your summer....❤️

Hi Pat great to see you. I think you could probably post pictures of all the things that you have and we wouldn't tire of it!! I love seeing all of the neat things you have. Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for posting. Pam Gonzalez
It is always nice to see one of your postings....you are missed. The little dish is beautiful. Hope you are staying well and being creative.
Good Morning!! It's storming here today.
I just LOVE you little quilt and all the elements in it. I have been thinking a should try one, but I think I need more fabric (did I say that!) for landscaping. I suspect mine would be a beach scene. With a dune and the fondy grasses that grow there. Stitched from a childhood memory since I LIVED at Lake Michigan. Silly girl that started skipping school in the 8th grade to live there. Well, I didn't LIVE there but I spent every moment I could there.
The crochet pin cushion is so pretty and vintage. Lovely.
Be well. Don't let your blog die. I love my visits so much.
xx, Carol
I love all your precious items.
Nice to see your sweet little items. I am swinging across the country visiting far-flung family. As I fly over places I wish I could drop down and visit my quilty blogging friends as well.
Hi Pat,
I am just catching up on my blog reading and was so very happy to see a post from you! I find myself thinking of you and am always smiling when I read one of your posts...you truly inspire me my friend!
The little quilt with the church and the tree...oh yes I am in love with it for sure! I love all of that handwork in it...so precious! As for the pin, the pillow and plate...love those too :) The plate is similar to one my grandmother had...that now lives in my bedroom...the same grandmother loved to crochet so the pillow reminds me of her too! And the pin....oh how I love baskets in needlework...quilting , cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint...doesn't matter...they always make my heart smile!
Sending lots of hugs and love your way! I just finished 33 sessions of radiation...so now maybe I will have more time to stitch! I would love that!
Have a good week my friend!
Yaaay she's back!!! I am so glad to see you!
Your items are lovely...especially the Church and the lovely dish!!
Hope all is going well with you,
Blessings,
J
