"THE FACT IS THAT WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING
FROM YOUR HEART, YOU LEAVE A HEART PRINT."
Alice Walker
I love that quote.
And, it applies to just about everything you do, doesn't it?
WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING FROM YOUR HEART!
For years and years now, I have added hearts to my work. Either stitched or in the form of buttons, pieces of jewelry, lace, and ephemera of all kinds. Notice there are heart shaped pins in the pincushion. Also in this display is a heart shaped dish with a lid and an embroidered heart.
There are Heart Prints you SEE, such as the
kind I'm showing you here. And, then, the most important kind...those that you feel.
You know....like when you remember someone with a nice note in the mail, or share a treasured portion of a faded and worn quilt with a dear friend, perhaps gift someone something special for absolutely no reason at all other than the fact you thought of them...like a favored book or flowers.
Seems to me that Heart Prints would be a good thing to spread around this year. So...I'm going to choose two of my blog readers every month and remember them with a Heartprint from me. I've no idea at the moment what the Heartprint will be...as I just now thought of it....but, something simple and old-fashioned and probably to do with quilting or embroidery or both.
And, I'll do it the old-fashioned way sending it by USPS.
If you are interested, kindly comment on this post.
I'll be showing you more hearts as the days go by....most much more colorful than these....Heart month, you know.
❤️
Remember, comment if you'd like to be remembered with one of my Heartprints!
(I'll be choosing two readers a month in 2020.)
until next time

I look forward to each of your blogs!
What a sweet idea... leaving a "heart print" with someone! I try to do that now and then.. send someone a little something just from my heart.. ."just because".. and this last year, with loss and heartache, I haven't done as much.. but you have inspired me to do more this year! I love all of your little heart things.. don't think I've seen pins like that with the hearts on top.. very darling! And the satin heart that is embroidered is darling. Just little satin hearts, made by hand, would be sweet ways to send heart prints. "note to self"..... take care and have a nice week! Marilyn
What a lovely display and what a sweet thing for you to do.
Loved the pillow from your last post too!
Follow your blog all the time and it is always lovely! Mary
Lovely post, Pat! You know I share your love of all things heart. And I really love the collage of things you put together. The pictures almost look like they could be old sepia prints. Looking forward to seeing more hearts!

Hi Pat it's such a lovely display of hearts!! I love hearts so much my husband had my wedding ring designed with 2 hearts on them and he said the 3rd was his! He found my heart ring with 3 hearts on it when we were in the 2nd grade. I had lost it. So hearts are dear to me. They certainly seem to have grabbed your heart!! Happy Valentine's day to you. I would love a heart print from you. This is such a sweet idea and carrying it through the year is great, sort of like having Christmas in your heart all year long! I love your pincushions and the display is wonderful.
I think your heart prints is a great idea. I’ve been trying to write letters a little more. With easy and instant communication such as phone, email and text, I don’t write as often as I used to. But I enjoy getting a letter and I’m sure everyone else does too.
I love hearts!!!!!
Love your posts.
I so enjoy your blog. Your taste are very much like mine! Enjoy this heart month!
I always look for your blog and enjoy each and every one -when there weren't any for awhile recently, worried if you were ok -wish I had your address to send you a heartprint. Judy near your hometown.
Pat I absolutely LOVE your blog!! ❤️
Love your blog. The items you share are always so beautiful. Sending you best wishes and a heartfelt thank you for sharing your "pretties" with everyone. Have a wonderful day.

Pat, I somehow "lost" your blog from my bookmarks and last night before falling asleep your lovely blog popped into my head and I have had a wonderful time catching up with your posts. I had forgotten how much "me" you are. I love your saying about your are in your own world in your home and how you decorate isn't for everyone but I would fit right in with all your treasures. I'm glad I have found you again.

Pat, I look forward to your posts every month. They warm my heart and make me smile. Thank you for sharing such beautiful thoughts and photos. Pat C.
Hello Pat, I would love to receive a heartprint from you. You have inspired me with your beautiful photos, I have five or six little gifts to embroider for friends and they will be sent with a special note. Now I will also make some pretty hearts to send out to others, or leave in town somewhere for others to find, perhaps bookmarks in the library. I'm fired up now, thank you, you've made my day, I love your blog and always look for it now you've made a bad day so much better. With thanks Mandy xx
Yes, you do things for others with your heart. And, lest I forget, there is a lovely piece of art above my pillow with two little birds holding hearts in their bills ... and the words, "From my heart to yours". Sweet!
Pat, I just discovered you on Pinterest in your post about Mr. G. I identify with both of you as I like to collect all kinds of "little" things. I love the idea of putting them in shadow boxes! And I love your Heartprints! Your ideas are so inspiring! I signed up for your newsletter & am looking forward to what you unveil in the future. Thanks for sharing what you do. Jmp
