An After-Christmas Giveaway!

Well, I don't think I've ever heard of an 'After-Christmas' Giveaway...but that's what we have here.
Today I got to thinking about how busy we all are and decided right then and there that 'after' Christmas was a really good time to give something away....right between Christmas and the New Year festivities....so, would you like something in your mailbox right about then?
The first photo is what you will receive should you be the winner.  I hope you are interested enough to comment and put your name in the drawing.  In no particular order...here are the Giveaway items.
Two of my favorite magazines...the current issues:  Where Women Create and Romantic Homes.  I almost always just about 'read' the ink off these pages.  Hopefully, you will be inspired also!
Next is a nice warm scarf to wear around your neck on the cold winter days ahead.  I knitted it myself.  Yes, I can knit, but nothing complicated.  This one is about as simple as you can get, but I liked the colors and hope you do too.  It feels pretty nice!
Then, there is a little dress and purse charm.  So cute.  I liked it, so thought you might like it too.
Another photo of the scarf....I like to knit these while watching tv with the old navy man.  There is really no 'thinking' involved and I really like having something for my hands to do while my mind wanders around thinking of other things.  Or not thinking at all, whichever the case may be.  I've got a few in the downtown studio.....and am working on another.
There is that little decorative box in the photos too.  I couldn't decide what to put into the box, so just added a package of peppermints.  Those always come in handy in the winter, don't you think?
So, there you are.  The After-Christmas Giveaway!  Kindly comment on this post and maybe you will win these 'goodies.'  I will be announcing the Winner on Wednesday, December 26th,  late in the evening.

Sure hope you all have a wonderfully Merry Christmas!!  Stay warm, safe, cozy and have FUN!!!

A very Merry Christmas to you and your navy guy. I would love to win your giveaway. I have not seen those magazines before and I really do like the colours in that scarf. Cute pin too and the mints would come in handy when I'm in the subway and that annoying tickle happens in my throat.

What a treat Pat. Even though it is way too hot to even contemplate a scarf right now, I love what you are knitting and I would be ready for it next June. The magazines would be so good to read - quite a lot earlier than they will hit the stores here too.
I hope your Christmas is very special and your New Year amazing.

I was thinking exactly what Dolores said except the part a about the subway. I've never been in a subway.

I'm just the same way about stitching what I call mindless crochet while keeping Terry company while he watches TV.

An after Christmas giveaway is perfect!!

Much Love,
Carol

What a lovely giveaway. You are so generous with sharing your talents and time with us. Love the colors of the scarf and it looks so soft. I have not had the opportunity to look at either of the magazines, so they intrigue me. Thanks for a chance. And have a very wonderful holiday with your family.

A very nice idea! And a perfect little treat for those after Christmas blues!
I've not read either of those magazines, so that would be fun, and living out in the bush, another scarf is always good. The colours are pretty. Thanks for the chance to win.
Merry Christmas to you and yours and the old Navy Man!

Hi Pat,

Those are two magazines that I'm
not familiar with, but they look
very inspiring. And who couldn't
use such a beautiful scarf to keep
warm on chilly winter walks. I've
embroidered a couple of miniature purse ornaments this Christmas, so
the charm is really dear.

Merry Christmas! The scarf is so pretty. Love the colors. I wish I could knit, but I have tension problems. If I tried to knit a scarf it would look like a lopsided pyramid. Sarah in OK

Pat, you are so sweet to put together this wonderful basket of goodies. The colors in the scarf are indeed beautiful.

Just wanted to share with you a treasure I found recently at my late neighbor's estate sale. This woman was a quilter and had been a member of the Saline County Quilt Guild. At the sale, I happened to pick up a few small bags of cut fabric. When I got home and opened one bag. I found friendship squares that had been pieced and signed by guild members. The blocks were dated 1994. My neighbor treasured them, so now I'll pick up where she left off. Quilters near and far are indeed kindred spirits bound together by the love of cloth and thread.

Hi, Pat! What a beautiful scarf! And it looks like it'll go with anything...love the colors. I love the box, too.

Have you guys had snow yet? We might finally be getting some on Wed. night into Thursday. If I could arrange to just have some of that white stuff around through Christmas, then go away, I would! hahaha. Merry Merry to you both!

Good evening Pat! I have really enjoyed your entryway post above. From the quilt to the birdhouse, bird nests, wasp nest, cross stitch pieces...well it all is merrily welcoming everyone in to your home! If we had a table in our entry way I would envision it to be similar to yours. Hubby is a nature lover and would bring things in too.

I would love to wrap your scarf around my neck this winter when I go out to town. It would be like having a friend to go grocery shopping with. :)

Pat what a lovely give a way....I have never bought the magazine "where woman create" it seems so expensive. I guess it is well worth buying...hmmm I will think on that, particularly if you are recommending it. I love the scarf and this year I guess because my hair is growing back in I have been wearing them all the time..I just cannot stand it when my ears get cold. Well I wish you and yours a truly wonderful Christmas and the best in the coming New Year...
